Before my morning jog at sunrise, I was delighted to receive the following email from a school teacher in Brazil:

“Dear Professor Loeb,

I am Denise Pires, a teacher from Brazil. My 3rd-grade students and I wrote a handmade book titled “Pedro Malasartes and the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS .” I used your Medium.com articles here to bring real science into our classroom. I have attached our book (originally in Portuguese, AI-translated below into English) so you can see the children’s illustrations and how your work inspired them.

If we view events like the encounter with 3I/ATLAS as “corrections,” our perspective on the past and on current global tensions changes. I share this thought with you; please feel free to use or share it as you see fit.

With respect and gratitude,

Denise Pires”

PEDRO MALASARTES AND 3I/ATLAS

The space adventure of 3rd grade class.

THE JOURNEY BEGINS HERE

Dear readers,

This book is a celebration of intelligence, art, and imagination. Our 3rd grade students embarked on a project where the wit of a folk character, Pedro Malasartes, transported to the universe of rockets, aliens and interstellar objects like 3I/ATLAS. Each page of the story that follows contains an illustration created by a student, representing a crucial moment in this interstellar adventure. The art not only tells the story but also proves that creativity has no boundaries — not even in outer space! May this reading inspire in you the same curiosity and wonder that these young artists felt while creating it. Have a great journey!

With Love,

Teacher Denise Pires

In the backlands of a planet called Earth, in a place where the dust was red, lived a very clever young man named Pedro Malasartes.

One day, Pedro attended a space-themed dinner when he heard a spaceship pilot, a big man named Joca, bragging: “I’ve seen everything in the universe! Even Saturn’s rings, Mars… nothing on Earth can impress me!”

1*6zHh41jd32g9PwOosXrqZw.jpeg

With a sly smile, Pedro calmly said: “Well, I bet you’ve never seen a man lasso the moon with a bean stalk!” Everyone attending dinner burst into laughter! Joca turned red with anger.

“Are you mocking me?” growled the big man. “This is a serious bet,” Pedro said. “If I win, you give me a ticket to your space station. If I lose, I’ll clean your spaceship with my toothbrush.”

Joca accepted the offer immediately.

Outside, under the full moon, Pedro planted a magical bean that grew tall in seconds! He climbed it, spun a shiny rope, and with a trick of perspective, made it look like he had lassoed the moon! The crowd applauded Pedro’s cleverness! Joca, sulking, had to hand over the prize: a one-way ticket to space.

It was then that Pedro saw two things: a very rich and grumpy man, Mr. Bartholomeu Bilhão, and a news report on TV about a mysterious interstellar object 3I/ATLAS.

At that moment, a clever idea popped into his head! Pedro sat on a bench, picked up a tablet, and drew a colorful interstellar object with the words: “Malasartes Voyages — A Dream Cruise to interstellar objects!”

He began telling stories, and soon Mr. Bilhão appeared.

“Do you sell trips to the interstellar object? I’ll buy them all!” said the rich man. To surprise him, Pedro smiled: “Of course! For a special client like you, the price is five hundred thousand cosmic star coins!”

Aboard Bilhão’s fancy spaceship, Pedro was the “Storytelling Captain.” When they saw a nebula, he said: “That is Grandma’s Cosmic big blanket, where baby stars go to sleep!”

Finally, they arrived at the interstellar object. It was beautiful! Suddenly, a small light emerged from it and touched everyone. Each person remembered a very happy moment. Pedro understood: the object was a nursery of memories!

“We can sell happiness!” shouted Bilhão. But Pedro had his brightest idea yet. He turned on the camera and said: “We are live with our hero, Mr. Bilhão, who has just announced that this interstellar object will be a protected reserve for the entire galaxy!”

Mr. Bilhão froze, unable to deny it.

Pedro returned to Earth. At dinner, he pulled a crystal from his pocket. “What is that?” asked a pilot. Pedro smiled: “This? It’s the beginning of another story.”

Has anyone listened to the newly released audio file from the Pentagon regarding the 1952 Project Blue Book briefing? This recording was included in the latest batch of UFO files made public, and it seems to shed some light on early investigative efforts into unidentified aerial phenomena. This batch marks the sixth release of files, which has been a significant part of ongoing efforts to increase transparency in government investigations of UAP.
The audio itself captures discussions from that pivotal time, where the U.S. Air Force was actively trying to understand what was being reported in the skies. It highlights the historical context of UFO investigations and the initial skepticism surrounding them. Given the advancements in technology and scientific understanding since 1952, it raises interesting questions about how our perspectives on these phenomena have evolved.
While the audio provides a window into the past, it also underscores the limitations of early UAP investigations. At that time, much of the evidence was anecdotal, lacking the rigorous analytical frameworks we might expect today. This makes one wonder how many of the conclusions drawn back then were based on limited data versus what we know now. The ongoing release of these files has sparked debates about whether earlier accounts of UAP were more about public perception than actual phenomena.
Viewer reactions to the video on NewsNation have also been varied, with some expressing excitement about finally hearing these historical discussions, while others remain skeptical about the implications of such disclosures. It seems that despite decades passing, the questions surrounding UAP are far from resolved. The audio recording is a reminder of just how long the quest for understanding has been a part of our national discourse.
This raises a key point: as more historical records come to light, how will they influence current government policies regarding UFOs and the public's understanding of UAP? Should we view these past investigations merely as stepping stones to the present, or do they hold lessons that are still applicable today? It’s also interesting to consider how much our approach to investigating these phenomena has shifted from the early days of skepticism to today's more open inquiries.
What do you think? Do these historical records have a substantial impact on how we perceive and investigate UAP now, or are they largely artifacts of a bygone era?

Daniel Sheehan, a lawyer focused on UFO disclosure, presents intriguing claims about a telepathic interview with an extraterrestrial being, as recounted by a Project Blue Book insider on their deathbed. The video suggests that this encounter was part of a hidden history that has long been kept from the public. Sheehan mentions classified images of a crashed craft and reports of five distinct extraterrestrial species, suggesting a broader narrative than we might have anticipated.
One point that stands out is Sheehan's assertion that the recent path toward disclosure may be designed to prevent the full story from emerging. This raises questions about who controls the narrative around UFOs and what information is being selectively released. The idea that certain details might be kept secret under the guise of transparency is troubling for many in the UFO community. It begs the question: what might be at stake if the complete truth were disclosed?
The reference to Project Blue Book, which was the U.S. Air Force's study of UFO phenomena from 1952 to 1969, adds a layer of historical context. Blue Book was tasked with investigating thousands of sightings, yet many cases remain unresolved or were dismissed without thorough examination. Why would a telepathic interview be dismissed or ignored in official reports? Sheehan’s claims suggest an effort to cover up significant findings that could redefine our understanding of these phenomena.
Moreover, the mention of five distinct ET species points to a complexity in UFO encounters that is not often acknowledged in mainstream discussions. If true, this would imply that humanity may not only be dealing with craft of unknown origin but potentially various entities with their own motives and agendas. The implications of such a reality are profound, making it essential to scrutinize the validity of these claims carefully.
In the comments section of the video, viewers react with skepticism and intrigue, which reflects a broader uncertainty within the community. Some express hope that these revelations might lead to significant breakthroughs in understanding UFOs, while others question the motivations behind the disclosures. Viewer responses suggest a mix of anticipation and caution, highlighting the delicate balance between belief and skepticism that characterizes the UFO discourse.
Ultimately, Sheehan's recounting of the deathbed confession raises more questions than answers. While the idea of a telepathic interview and multiple extraterrestrial species is captivating, the lack of concrete evidence to support these claims leaves much to be desired. As we continue to explore the mysteries surrounding UFOs, it's crucial to assess the credibility of sources and demand transparency in disclosures. What do you think could be revealed if the full truth about UFOs and extraterrestrial encounters were made public?

The recent video titled 'Do the new Pentagon UFO files point to a cover-up? Dr. Phil thinks so' raises some intriguing questions about the ongoing government investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). It's notable that a public figure like Dr. Phil is weighing in on such a complex and often contentious issue. In a climate where transparency is increasingly demanded, how should we approach the claims made in the video regarding potential cover-ups? Could this be a moment where popular opinion shifts towards greater scrutiny of government actions?
This video seems to focus on the implications of the latest declassified documents released by the Pentagon, suggesting that there may be more to the story than what has been disclosed. I find it particularly compelling when the discussion touches on the testimonies of whistleblowers and former officials who have pointed out discrepancies in the information shared with the public. The video’s framing of these documents as part of a broader narrative about governmental secrecy could resonate with many who are following the UAP hearings in Congress and the ongoing efforts of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
One of the more thought-provoking segments of the video discusses specific cases where military encounters with UAPs were documented but not thoroughly explained. As someone who appreciates the scientific endeavor, it's fascinating—and arguably concerning—that there are instances where technological advancements may have occurred without full transparency. With the recent push by the AARO for clearer and more comprehensive reports, one has to wonder whether these cover-up allegations could hinder future investigations and our understanding of such phenomena. The role of public interest in demanding accountability from the government cannot be overstated, especially given the historical context of UAP investigations.
Additionally, it’s worth considering how this discussion ties into the broader context of space exploration and the search for extraterrestrial life. As NASA continues to unveil findings from missions like the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which is probing the atmospheres of exoplanets for signs of habitability, the implications of UAP investigations become even more relevant. Are we potentially overlooking a more profound cosmic mystery while fixated on terrestrial cover-ups? Dr. Phil's insights may spark a necessary dialogue about how government secrecy impacts not only public perception but also scientific inquiry into the universe.
Ultimately, this video invites us to reevaluate our stance on UAP disclosures and the narratives built around them. As we await further reports from the AARO and additional congressional hearings, should we be more skeptical of government narratives? Or is there a balance to be struck between national security and the public's right to know? What are your thoughts on the potential ramifications of these claims discussed in the video?

I recently came across an intriguing video featuring Benji Fields and Clement Vidal discussing the search for alien technology at various scales. While the subject matter is fascinating, I found myself a bit skeptical about some of the assertions made about the detectability of such technologies. The idea that we might identify technosignatures from distant civilizations requires a lot of assumptions about their technological development and our own capabilities in recognizing these signals amidst the cosmic noise.
One particularly interesting point from the video was the exploration of how different types of alien technology could manifest. From radio signals to more advanced forms of communication, the conversation delved into the scope of our current SETI efforts. However, it raises questions about our methods and whether we are truly equipped to understand or even recognize the signals of a civilization that might be fundamentally different from our own. What if their technology is so advanced that it doesn't resemble our own, making it nearly impossible for us to detect?
Moreover, the discussion touched on how these technosignatures could influence our approach to commercial spaceflight and lunar missions. As companies like Blue Origin continue to push the boundaries of space exploration and tourism, the implications of discovering alien technology could be profound. Could the lessons learned from trying to detect such technology also guide us in our efforts to create sustainable technologies for our missions? This is a key question worth exploring as we look to the future of space travel.
The video also briefly mentioned the potential collaboration between entities like NASA and private companies in the search for biosignatures and technosignatures. This partnership could enhance our technological capabilities and expand our understanding of the cosmos. If Blue Origin and similar companies contribute to this kind of research, how might it alter the landscape of space exploration? These commercial ventures could potentially lead to new discoveries that reshape our understanding of life beyond Earth.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this video and its implications for our quest to understand alien life. Do you think we are close to discovering signs of alien technology, or do you feel that our current methods are still too flawed? What role do you believe commercial spaceflight will play in this ongoing search? Looking forward to your insights!

Using just 20 watts of power, the human brain is capable of processing the equivalent of an exaflop — or a billion-billion mathematical operations per second. Now, researchers in Australia are building what will be the world's first supercomputer that can simulate networks at this scale.

DeepSouth supercomputer - the world's first computer designed to emulate the parallel biological neural networks of the human brain itself. Developed by scientists at Western Sydney University's International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems, DeepSouth utilizes breakthrough neuromorphic hardware and software that mimics neurons and synapses to achieve unprecedented efficiency.
The DeepSouth supercomputer distributes processing across a network of bespoke brain-inspired chips, unlike traditional supercomputers based on von Neumann designs.
This enables DeepSouth to carry out a staggering 228 trillion synaptic operations per second, rivaling estimates for the human brain's processing speed. Yet it requires far less space and power than conventional systems.
This new generation of brain-inspired supercomputing not only could make sci-fi applications an everyday reality but even more scary is the fact that they could someday create a cyborg brain vastly more powerful than our own.
The prospect of entities, whether humans or AI (robots), equipped with cyborg brains is becoming increasingly plausible, paving the way for a profound shift in the hierarchy of Earth's dominant species.
